Dr. McNeill was raised in Canada, but as the saying goes he got to Texas as fast as he could. He grew up in a very small town approximately two hours north of Toronto in the province of Ontario. Despite rumors, he was not raised in an Igloo. He also thinks he is funny, by the way. While in Canada, Dr. McNeill attended McMaster University and obtained a combined honors in Biology & Psychology (B.Sc.(Hons.)).
After the completion of his undergraduate degree, Dr. McNeill attended dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Detroit, MI. Dr. McNeill graduated magna cum laude from this school as was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.). During his time at the school he was honored with being on the deans honor list each year during his four years of dental school education. During his time at the university, he also had the honor of representing all of the dental students in the United States as the national president of the American Student Dental Association. This is an organization that represents the 15,000 dental students in the United States and is based in Chicago, Illinois. He also had the privilege of serving on the board of directors and the chairman of the board for this same organization.
Dr. McNeill has been very active within his profession. He has had the privilege of representing his fellow doctors as a delegate to the American Dental Association (ADA) house of delegates as well as a national representative to the ADA Council on Access, Prevention and Interprofessional Relations. He has given numerous presentations at national meetings within his profession including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Examiners and the American Dental Education Association.
After the completion of dental school, Dr. McNeill continued his education by attending medical school where he obtained his Medical Doctor degree (M.D.) from Case Western Reserve University. He had the opportunity to train at several excellent hospitals during his medical school curriculum. These hospitals included The Cleveland Clinic, Henry Ford Hospital and University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Dr. McNeill continued on his educational journey as a resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. During this time he was awarded a certificate for completion of an intern year in general surgery and finished with a certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His residency training was very extensive and included rotations in the following specialties: plastic surgery, otolaryngology, neurosurgery, general surgery, trauma surgery, pediatric surgery, intensive care medicine, dermatology and anesthesiology.
Dr. McNeill is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with the designation of Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is licensed to practice both dentistry and medicine in the state of Texas. In 2016 he was appointed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to a Blue Ribbon Panel to evaluate dental sedation safety issues and report to both the state dental board and the legislature.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Dallas County Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Dental Honorary Society-Omikron Kappa Upsilon. He is certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
In the past, Dr. McNeill has had the privilege of serving on the Board of Trustees for the New Beginning Center. The mission of New Beginning Center is to foster an environment of safety, support and respect for families affected by domestic violence.
Growing up in Canada, Dr. McNeill has always been a hockey fan. He has been an official oral and maxillofacial surgeons for the Dallas Stars.

Dr. McNeill has three boys that bring joy to his life. They love adventures and have been fortunate to have been able to go around the world on various mission trips.

Dr. Stephanie Briggs
Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon
Dr. Briggs is a young woman filled with compassion for patients. She has a servant’s heart. It was their love for mission work that brought Drs. Briggs and McNeill together. Outside of mission work and private practice, Stephanie has a passion for soccer and running. She started playing soccer when she was 6 years old and continued to play competitively through high school while also competing in track and cross country. Stephanie was awarded a track scholarship to run at Stephen F. Austin State University where she competed for four years while preparing for dental school. Stephanie continues to play soccer with a recreational league in Dallas and enjoys wakeboarding on Lake Ray Hubbard in the summer months with her husband, Jeffrey and their family.
